The Real Black Face is a film featuring the students of the Upward Bound program at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University. It was written and directed by TaNisha Fordham. These students were willing, able and mature enough to share this modern day message about racism, stereotyping and the modern implications of blackface minstrelsy and vaudeville.
High School students from Guildford County, North Carolina speak about their concerns dealing with racial stereotyping and the implications amongst African American teens.
"None of us is as good as all of us."
People share their stories of life, love and overcoming.
Enlightened Visions, Inc. produced a series of videos for, "THE NOT PROJECT," introducing the concept to the world and featuring the students of Amherst High School along with famous African Americans.
THE NOT PROJECT was a project which focused on the power of defining and understanding, "who we are not."
We thought it appropriate to launch this project during black history month as a reflection on the strength of so many people throughout history and their unyielding resilience against allowing others to define them.
